Vivo in India

Chinese handset maker Vivo, today announced the launch of ‘V' Series in India. The series name is derived from ‘VIGOUR'. The product theme for the series is Play Hi-Fi, Live Smart.

The ‘V' Series enters the Indian market in the mid segment smartphone category with the price range of INR 15,000 - 20,000.

The ‘V' series is designed exclusively for Indian consumers keeping in mind their requirements with Music Phones. The first model launched in the series is vivo V1.
Vivo V1 - Key Specification
Vivo V1 comes packed with 5-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon, 64 bit Octa-Core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot, Android 5.0 Lollipop on top of Funtouch 2.1, 4G LTE network.
On the camera, this device comes with 13MP rear and 5MP wide-angle front cameras with 6P lenses and F2.0 aperture minimize the noise in the picture.

Moreover, this device is powered by 2300mAh battery with Battery Stamina Mode. Vivo V1 will be available in Silver and Gold variant in the Indian market.

Freedom 251: The cheapest smartphone in the world

India's Ringing Bells (Based in Noida) has unveiled what is being touted as the country's most affordable smartphone. Dubbed Freedom 251, the Android-powered device carries a price tag of INR 251, which translates into just under $4 at current exchange rates. It is the cheapest smartphone in the world with these awesome features. For that much, you get a handset that is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and sports a 4-inch qHD IPS display. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. In terms of camera, the Freedom 251 features a 3.2MP rear unit and a 0.3MP front shooter. The phone runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop), and packs in a 1,450mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS, while color options include white. Micromax has announced 'Canvas Tabby' - a tablet specially for your kids. Priced at Rs. 6499, the tablet will be made available exclusively on Flipkart for a period of three weeks before it makes it to all the other online and offline retailers. Micromax probably wants to capture the younger tablet users to make learning fun. Micromax points out that it's the only tablet available in the market with parental control features. The parental control feature, which is the USP of the Canvas Tabby allows parents to have complete control over the usage of the tablet. It allows parents to limit the time of usage and also keep check on the Internet access. Micromax has preloaded the tablet with kid-friendly content.
