Google Picasa shutting down

Google Picasa will no longer be active. It will be unavailable from 1 may, 2016. So picasa lovers switch over to Google's future said product; Google Photos.

Google Picasa was merely used as a photo manager, editor and as well as a great photo organiser. It got many version upgrades and eacj upgrade had something new in store for the users. Probably i have used Picasa a year ago and had a lots of fun in it and then i switched over to Google Photos which was far better than Picasa according to me. Now Photos is my only app which backs up my photos and videos daily.

Google on Friday said it will be shuttering Picasa to shift its focus to the new Google Photos service launched less than a year ago.

"We believe we can create a much better experience by focusing on one service that provides more functionality and works across mobile and desktop, rather than divide our efforts across two different products," Google Photos chief Anil Sabharwal said in a blog post.

Pictures or videos in Picasa online albums will be automatically available in people's Google Photos accounts, according to Sabharwal.

Those wishing not to shift to the new service will still be able to view, download or delete photos in Picasa albums, but the software won't be updated and adding images won't be an option.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this transition causes, but we want to assure you that we are doing this with the aim of providing the best photos experience possible," Sabharwal said.

"Google Photos is a new and smarter product."

Xiaomi MIX

Yesterday Xiaomi also launched one more device named 'MiX'. A concept phone from Xiaomi that clearly shows how hard it is working in innovating its products. Remember I discussed about Xiaomi Redmi 4  which was nothing new and just an just add-on to one or more feature. And I said Xiaomi is just putting specs on their device without any innovation. These were the 2 devices they were working on, first which I already posted about Mi Note  2. So the Bezelless phone is here with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.3%. Not only the Bezelless phone with no features but with the high-end specs making it a flagship phone to look at. As keeping the snapdragon 821 underneath the hood and 6 gigs of RAM with the finger print sensor at the back and supporting a 6.4 inch FHD Amoled display (1080 x 2040) as the aspect ratio of this device is kept at 17:9. There is a 16MP rear and 5MP front camera. There's no proximity sensor and the earpiece since the device is bezel less but th...

Google Calculator's most awaited feature..

Google Calculator is one of the most loved calculators by us. It provides instant result to the mathematical operations as well as its available on almost all stock Android devices. This wasn't perfect as a calculator though. Why? It did not have 'show history' feature as most of other calculators had. This was a big problem to be looked into as it was the most essential feature for every user. And it was easiest feature Google could add in it's app. Yet Google wasn't seem to be looking into it and this resulted in bad reviews on play store. But on Jan 11, 2017; this feature was added by Google and now the operation history in the app can be seen by swiping down from the top. Also another feature which was needed to be added was MS, MR, M+, M-. The MS (Memory Store) button copies the number from the screen to the memory. The MR (Memory Recall) button brings the memory value back to the screen. M+ and M- add or subtract the screen value from the memory val...
